Kathleen Humphreys, PsyD

Megan Humphreys served in the US Peace Corps before earning her MA in Psychology from American University in Washington, DC and her Doctorate of Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore. Dr. Humphreys has experience working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations, with a particular passion for supporting adults across the lifespan. Clinically, Megan primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also pursuing certification in Polyvagal Theory to improve the mind-body relationship in therapy spaces. She strives to incorporate trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions into an intersectional framework. Her therapeutic specialties include grief, PTSD, addiction recovery, life transitions, identity formation, and supporting communities that have historically felt marginalized in mental health. She also provides neuropsychological testing services for teens and adults hoping to better understand their strengths and areas of challenge.
