Janine Cednick, MA, M.Ed
Janine Cednick, MA, M.Ed earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology while progressing through her current Clinical Psychology doctoral program at National Louis University, Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Janine also obtained a Master’s in Education with a dual specialization in general and special education. Throughout her doctoral studies she has worked with individuals across diverse lifespans with particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience working in various settings, including private practice and inpatient environments. Janine creates a welcoming and safe environment to establish collaborative relationships where she guides clients in addressing their challenges. She is interested in a variety of treatment areas such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder/executive functioning deficits, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, life transitions, grief & loss, trauma, and identity/self-esteem/body image concerns. Janine's approach is humanistic in nature and employs evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), to understand her clients in a way that reflects their true selves.
