Emma Mugford, M.Psy

Emma Mugford, M.Psy. earned a Master’s degree in Psychology and is working toward a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Emma has experience working in private practice, community mental health, college counseling, and grade school settings. She has worked with individuals and couples presenting with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and beyond. Emma draws from psychodynamic, insight-oriented, and relational approaches to therapy, incorporating more structured approaches when needed. Her clinical interests include working with clients with queer, neurodivergent, and multicultural identities, and she values connecting with people of all backgrounds who are motivated to engage in therapy. Emma empathetically supports individuals across the lifespan, encouraging personal growth while fostering a deeper understanding of themselves, their behavioral patterns, and their interpersonal relationships.
